NetFlix Make My Top 5 of Worst Companies
I am a pretty easy going guy when it comes to my business dealings as a normal consumer. I do have companies that I will never deal with again:
Bally Total Fitness -- Possibly the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I moved and didn't have a Bally to go to. Instead of closing both mine and my wife's account, they closed mine and then credited my wife's account. One year later I had to prove that I moved, all over again. Screw you corporate managers, I hope you all rot in hell weighing 2000 pounds and being force fed Twinkies
Shell -- Would not refund me for a tank of gas that was half water and cost me money in repairs. Screw ya, I can buy gas the rest of my life from some one else. I hope all your corporate managers rot in hell drinking oil with no beer chaser.
Verizon -- What can I say? I always thought unlimited internet access meant unlimited, not unlimited up to 200 minutes a month. Oh, I didn't see the notice on your home page? Sorry, pay the 800 you owe us for overage charges. 4 months later they screwed up crediting me back the money by doubling the credit. Now that is incompetence. I just want the corporate managers to be in purgatory for years stuck checking their email on dial up.
Bridgestone Firestone -- I don't really hate them so much, besides the one interview that I had with them coming out of the Navy where they told me I would never have the cross trainable skills to work in the tire industry. Uggh, Thank You for Applying, Forest, but retreading is your life's calling. No real hate for the rest of the company, except the fact that I will only buy Michelin for my cars. I also hope the interviewer is running service calls Rick's Tire and Fireworks in Macon, GA now.
That brings me to NetFlix.
For the past three weeks now, every movie that is supposed to be shipped to me has been placed on a hold for at least a day and then shipped from exotic locales such as St. Louis or Wooster, MA, which extends the time that shipping takes by a day or two. Then extends the shipping back to those wonderful vacation spots.
I am OK with that, if there is a problem in the Pittsburgh distribution. However, you have to at least return an email once in a while with a courteous response when your customer inquires. There are crickets chirping at this point with their response.
What is even worse is that you can not get a partial recovery of your monthly charge, when they screw YOU over. OK, I can live with that, NOT!
My advice to anyone that is thinking to use NetFlix is to not. BlockBuster can't be worse can they? Oh god, I hope not...
